Luther Muhammad is an outstanding and versatile guard. He is a vital part of that Hudson Catholic backcourt which has guided the Hawks to their 11-2 record and #6 in this week’s NJ.com state ranking. We sat down with Luther and discussed the recruiting process and his goals for him and his team moving forward. Take a look.

Q: What made you choose to attend Hudson Catholic over some of the other local basketball powerhouses?

A: I chose Hudson [Catholic] because it was the right fit for me to develop my game the way I needed to and at the same time get a quality education.

Q: When did the recruiting process begin for you?

A: The recruiting process really started at the end of my Freshman year

Q: What do you think has been the biggest factor in getting you out there to college coaches?

A: Me working hard, being humbled, and staying focused.

Q: Do you plan on committing before the start of your senior season?

A: I don’t know yet

Q: You definitely have a great cast of characters surrounding you at Hudson Catholic. Who do you think is your biggest weapon/who do you feel helps you play to your full potential while on the court?

A: My whole team plays a role in getting me to play at my full potential

Q:You guys obviously have a young core at Hudson Catholic. What are your expectations for the program moving into later this year as well as your Senior season moving forward?

A: First getting a state championship, then winning the TOC but we have to take it game by game, and next year doing it all over again.
